kompare-dbg software package provides debugging symbols for the kompare, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kompare-dbg
kompare-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kompare-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kompare-dbg *
You will get with kompare-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
